| If needed, specify a batch number for your products, |
| - Sometimes, for some products, you need to track a batch number. In that case, you can specify it for the corresponding products, and you will be able to track the stock by each batch number.
|
| If needed, specify an expiry date for your products, |
| - For each input or output, you can indicate an expiry date, you will then be able to track your stock by expiry date.
|
| Manage two external references for each product, |
| - For an easy reconciliation with an external information system, specify up to 2 external references for each product.
- If your other system manages product categories, you can assign an external product category to your products.
|
| Specify a size (or a type) and a color for a product, |
| - If you sell T-Shirts, for example, you can enter, for each product, its barcode, its size and its color.
|
| Group some products under a product family for an easy price update, |
| - When managing a great number of products, you need to have an easy way to update your purchase and selling prices. For this purpose, you can create product families under wich you will be able to create your products so that by updating the family's purchase and selling price, all the underlaying products will be updated.
- A product family can also have multiple sizes (or types). For example, let us say you sell paints in buckets of 0.5 liters, 1 liter or 5 liters, each size having many colors. By creating three sizes in your paints product family, you will be able to update your whole stock of color buckets by updating three prices only.
|
| Define an inventory frequency as well as a reorder point for each product or product family. |
| - You can decide to count your stock differently for each type of products (daily, weekly, monthly or annually). You will then be reminded when to count each product.
- You can as well determine a reorder point for each product, you will then be reminded when to order it again.
